Linda McMahon, the Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment magnate has been chosen by President-elect Donald Trump to head the U.S. Small Business Association. And her selection drew compliments from Connecticut’s two Democratic U.S. Senators.
McMahon lost twice in bids to become a United States Senator from Connecticut. She is co-founder and former CEO of the WWE.
“Linda has tremendous background and is widely recognized as one of the country’s top female executives advising businesses around the globe,” Trump said in a statement.
Trump must be doing something right. The two Senate candidates who vanquished McMahon in Connecticut races had praise for her. Sen. Murphy called her “a talented and experienced business person.” Sen. Blumenthal said she is “a person of serious accomplishment and ability.”
