St. Francis Hospital gets okay for pot study

MarijuanaHartford-based St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center has been given state approval to conduct a study on the benefits of marijuana for people, suffering from multiple rib fractures.  The state Department of Consumer Protection sanctioned the study under a program approved by the Connecticut General Assembly.

Since medical marijuana was approved by the state, 14,858 patients have been permitted to use marijuana.  The state claims 259 jobs have been created, since medical marijuana was sanctioned by the legislature.
