Kane and Coleman to resign from Connecticut Senate?

On the day the General Assembly is scheduled to begin a new session two high-profile state senators could resign in a carefully crafted arrangement that will keep the chamber evenly divided between Democrats and Republicans.  Sen. Eric Coleman, D-Bloomfield and Sen. Rob Kane, R-Watertown could resign to take new jobs.  The moves would enable Coleman to take a judgeship – if appointed – and Kane to become Republican state auditor.

The Hartford Courant reports the paired resignations are not definite.  “There are a lot of moving parts,” Senate Republican President Len Fasano told the paper.
