For years critics of taxpayer-supported public television have argued the network and its local affiliates lean left. So it doesn’t help the perception any with word that Connecticut Public Television President and CEO Jerry Franklin has donated to the campaign of Norwalk Mayor Harry W. Rilling. The long time Democrat and former police chief in the city is expected to announce on Sunday he will seek a third-term as mayor.
Nearly $40,000 has been raised for Rilling. Franklin’s donation was $25.
