Suzio gets his public hearing on CT mileage tax vs. rifle salutes at military funerals

Sen. SuzioConnecticut State Sen. Len Suzio, R-13, will get a public hearing by the General Assembly’s Transportation Committee on his bill to de-fund a state study on the feasibility of taxing Connecticut motorists by the mile. ┬áThe senator would like to take the money earmarked for the study and use it to replenish state funding for rifle salutes at military funerals. ┬áHis bill is SB 76.

The hearing on the bill will be Monday, Jan. 30.

  1. I’d like to see monies that go to “studies” be looked at a little closer. Seems the studies mainly benefit those doing the studying. Thanks for your help Senator Suzio.
