The Connecticut Democratic Party is chiding likely Republican Party gubernatorial candidates for their silence on President Trump’s controversial ban on immigrants entering the USA.
Meanwhile, state Republican Party chairman J.R. Romano is quoted in the Hartford Courant as saying:
“This has turned into a political frenzy. Has this created PR problem? Absolutely. But at the end of the day, it’s about keeping Americans safe.”
Romano says the ban is not permanent and allows the Department of Homeland Security to “hit the pause button” on immigration.
