Just hours after her driver got into a fender-bender, Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman was calling supporters saying she won’t run for governor in 2018. The Lt. Governor is expected to make the announcement official later Thursday, according to the Hartford Courant. Wyman had stated she would make a decision, after the legislature passed a new budget, which it did last month.
“Dan Malloy is not the reason I am not running,” Wyman told the website CT Mirror. Wyman has served two terms under the unpopular governor.
